Branding & Identity: Budmo

Brief Summary
Focused on branding and strategy development, this project aims to create a strong, cohesive, visual identity for a platform or institution. Brand strategies must be developed to guide the design process. This branding identity required us to be inspired by a language and culture of my own choice.

The visual identity guide should contain enough information so that it can be handed over to any designer to work on the brand - it must include all the necessary visual assets and the tone of the brand in order to capture the essence of the brand successfully keeping in mind the importance of the chosen language and the specific target audience.
Design Strategy

In light of everything happening in the world and the tragedy that struck Ukraine, I chose Ukrainian as my focus point for this project. Using my design skills I set out to create a brand that celebrates the power, strength and resilience of the Ukrainian people, capturing their will power and love for their culture and country. I established a brand that is proudly Ukrainian, that supports Ukrainian people all over the world that represents the country. 

Budmo is established as a brand that is all about being brave, daring and loyal - loyal to its country and loyal to is Ukrainian citizens. This brand inspires others to go out and achieve more than they every believed they could. Budo inspires confidence and serves the public as a daring and challenging establishment. Inspired by the brave and loyal President Zelenskyy, Budmo stands for unity and loyalty and we honour that in every aspect of our brand.

The Budmo Logo
As an international beer brewing company it is important that our logo translates to the Ukrainian people as well as the rest of the world, therefore we have established an English and Ukrainian logo in order to be as inclusive as we possible can whilst being loyal to our Ukrainian comrades, slava Ukraine!

App Icon & Favicon
It is important for buddy to have recognisable symbols and icons that individuals all over the world can see and immediately recognise as a part of Budmo branding.
Type Devision
At Budmo we have a hierarchal set of typography to use with the brand style. These fonts are available on Fonts for free commercial use. These fonts communicate a strong presence and a resilient front for the company that matches our tone of voice to communicate with individuals.
We take pride in our colours
As a proud Ukrainian company we want to stay loyal to the colours of the Ukrainian flag. We want the blue and yellow colours to always be affiliated and recognised as part of Ukraine to the rest of the world.
Our colour law
Blue and yellow can be used together on all instances such as the logo, body copy on posters, etc. Yellow and white can not be used together as the yellow is not legible on the white and vice versa, as seen in the example below. Only use blue on the white.
Visual frontline
Budmo established a visually communicating icon that is recognisable and easily identified all over the world. Using the national flower of Ukraine, the sunflower, to create a symbol that works on the frontlines of the company as a symbolic representation. This symbol is used as an icon and in patterning. 
Email Signatures
Interacting with clients happens on a daily basis, therefore good first impressions lead to good lasting impressions and that is what we want to achieve visually with our email signature designs.
Business cards
Within the different levels of management at Budmo, we have designed different business cards to represent each of the different managing levels. 
Our supplies
At Budmo beer our beer is on the frontlines of the company, showing the world what we do and how we do it. Using our signature yellow and blue colours as striking and memorable elements for people all over the to identify and enjoy. At Budmo breweries we have two best selling beers all over the world.
Secure the package
Budmo does not only bottle the products into glass bottles but also cans. These are sent all over the world to different bard and events for individuals to choose whether they would like a can or a bottle. We believe in providing our Budmo drinkers with comfort and personal preference decisions. 
Coaster competition
Budmo regularly have small competitions to keep things exciting for Budmo drinkers. Budmo drinkers get the opportunity to win a set of coasters and collect them throughout the years. With each amount of coasters they have collected they can enter into bigger prize winning events.
Proudly Ukrainian
as a loyal and dedicated Ukrainian company we believe in giving our all and our best to the Ukrainian people that compete in various sports all over the world, therefore we sponsor these talented athletes to proudly wear the Ukrainian colours and Budmo symbol as a representation to the world.
Visual on target
Budo wil have signage outside bar and pub entrances that light up, this will immediately inform people that Budmo products are sold here. The blue and yellow colours are very prominent and will immediately communicate the brand to people passing by.
Promoting posters
Promotional posters are extremely important for the brand, promoting sponsored events and Budmo beer products. These branded posters contribute to the growth and success of the company. 
Social Squadron
It is important for us to have an engaging social department within Budmo to keep Budmo drinkers and potential drinkers informed of events, competitions and Budmo promotions as seen in the Budmo fridge give away.
UX/UI Design
Having an effective and informative website is very important for the growth of Budmo, it is important to keep our followers updated
